Student representatives in university bodies

The Student Council (Studierendenvertretung) represents the interests and concerns of all students vis-à-vis the bodies of SRH University Heidelberg, and within them. It consists of three Faculty Board (Fakultätsrat) representatives from each school and two Senate representatives, who are elected from among the Faculty Board representatives.

Student self-organisation within the school

In addition, students in each school elect group spokespersons at the start of their programme; these individuals represent the interests of the study group vis-à-vis the Programme Director. For an even more active representation of student interests, there is the possibility of electing members of the Student Representative Committee (Fachschaft) to represent all students enrolled in the school. This must be initiated by the students themselves, and organised on the basis of Student Representative Committee Statutes. If you’re interested in getting involved, feel free to contact your Programme Director. The group spokespersons, the representatives of the Student Representative Committees and the student representatives of the Faculty Boards and the Senate together form the Student Assembly (Studierendenversammlung) of the university. The Student Assembly, which is in regular exchange with the President’s Office, is in turn led by two elected chairpersons. The current chairpersons are Benedikt Merk and Alina Dieminger, who you can contact at sv@stud.hochschule-heidelberg.de.
